"Every story begins somewhere" - this somewhat hackneyed slogan contains a simple truth that teaches us that in order to become a legend you need to take that first, most difficult step. The road to the top of the e-sports scene is not one of the easiest... but to make it a little easier you will need good quality equipment that will allow you to enter the fray without worrying that your mouse or keyboard will not do the job. #BuildA Genesis Legend
That's why, in order to help you with the beginning of your adventure, we have prepared several products at highly discounted prices, which we have selected for the top performance so important for every gamer. It doesn't matter whether you are just taking your first steps in gaming or you are already at a more advanced level - with this equipment your performance will enter a higher level.
In addition - in order to understand what guided us in their selection - we have also created for you the following guide with a description of the most key parameters of mice, keyboards, etc., so that you are aware of how specific aspects of the equipment translate into in-game performance.
Sensor (or sensor in Polish):
- The type of sensor, of which there are two main ones:
- Optical: more often chosen for e-sports games, it provides higher precision and better control on different mousepad surfaces.
- Laser: offers a higher DPI resolution, but tends to be less precise, which is why it is not very popular in gaming mice.
- DPI (or dots per inch): this value determines the sensitivity of the mouse. The higher the DPI, the less movement you have to make to make the cursor move a certain distance on the screen. Interestingly, professional e-sports gamers most often prefer low DPIs in the 400-1600 range for a compromise between speed and precision.
- Polling rate: that is, in simple terms, how often the mouse sends data to the computer. A higher polling rate (e.g., 1000 Hz and above) ensures faster response, which is important in dynamic games.
Response time and so-called latency
- Low response time, or latency, in the transmission of signals from the mouse to the computer is crucial to ensure nothing less than lightning-fast in-game response. The best e-sports mice have a response time of 1 ms (milliseconds!).
Ergonomics:
- Shape: the mouse should fit your hand and the way you hold it (e.g. "palm grip", "claw grip" or "fingertip grip").
- Weight - this is an extremely important factor: lighter mice (50 to 80 g) are often preferred by professionals because they allow faster movements.
Buttons:
- The number of buttons, although it may seem the least important factor, it is worth knowing that it depends on the type of game. That's why many mice have additional buttons that can be programmed (e.g. for changing weapons, activating skills). They are very useful, especially in MMO or MOBA genres.
- Macro buttons, i.e. buttons with the ability to assign advanced functions or macros (to execute a sequence of multiple skills) can be crucial in more complex games like those of the RTS genre.
Choosing the right mouse depends on individual preferences and style of play, as there is no single one that will be perfect for everyone. Looking for the most versatile one that will meet the requirements of the vast majority of gamers we have chosen:
Type of switches (switches):
- Mechanical: keyboards with mechanical switches are, without question, the most common choice for gamers. These switches provide faster response and excellent durability. There are different types of switches, such as Cherry MX or Kailh, and each has different characteristics such as volume, pressure force, etc.
- Membrane: cheaper, quieter, but less durable and - most importantly for gaming - slower in response. I mention them out of chronic duty, because my e-sports experience does not allow me to recommend them for games that require speed and precision.
Keyboard mobility (pressure) and response time:
- Gamers, especially in highly dynamic FPS and MOBA titles, value the fastest possible reaction time. The lower the button activation time, the faster the keyboard responds to the press. Of course, among gamers, this will not so much be a matter of taste, but of the genre they play, because for - if only for - MMO games, the priority may be comfort over a longer session.
Anti-Ghosting and N-Key Rollover:
- Anti-Ghosting ensures that the keys won't "hang" when you press several of them simultaneously.
- N-Key Rollover allows you to press multiple keys at once and have them registered by the computer without any lag, but this is a very specific feature that is not desirable for fast-paced games.
Ergonomics:
- Gaming keyboards can come in a variety of shapes and features to improve comfort, such as detachable wrist rests and adjustable height. As I mentioned a bit above, it's extremely important for a keyboard to be comfortable during long gaming sessions, and I've come to understand this myself as I've gotten older, so - following the advice of an older colleague - adjust the keyboard to your own ergonomics.
Many gamers also pay attention to the aesthetics of their workstation, so gaming keyboards in the vast majority have advanced options for personalization of RGB backlighting and button replacement, but this is not important in terms of achieving the best e-sports performance, so I will not elaborate further on this topic.
Guided by the above determinants we have prepared for you:
Anyone who has played network games is also well aware of the importance of communicating with your team. Sending messages about the location of the opponent, listening to his steps and even joy after a win - it is impossible to imagine e-sports without them. That's why in our share we also have for you headphones and a microphone, which will provide both comfort and sound quality so necessary for every demanding match, raid or clutch.
